  After seven years I've seen Mark Knopfler live again on Wednesday in Zurich's Hallenstadion. He's grown older (of course) and is playing more laid-back these days, but hasn't lost any of his finesse on the guitar. No comment on the Bob Dylan performance afterwards.

  Dire Straits with song "Brothers In Arms" has won the 'Top of All Time'. It's voting organised one time a year since 1994 by 3rd channel of Polish Radio in which listeners choose 100 best songs ever. Top3 is: 1.Brothers In Arms; 2.Stairway To Heaven; 3.Imagine.

  @Yorkwhite I'd like to see them at least once. But sadly i was born too late and all I can do is to watch videos and listen to their CDs. Not so bad in fact, but possibility to see the band live is much better.

  Seen them twice. First time was at York Uni in a small room - they stood on the floor & played. This was just after they had released their first album which they played all the way through....brilliantly! They had to play same songs over again for encores as they didn't know any others!
