  a lot of these bands are pretty good. atdi, radiohead, modest mouse, every time i die i think the whole hipster thing is silly. this is just music. just because it's obscure doesn't mean it's bad. the only thing that makes the average "hipster" bad is when they are smug about their music taste and are assholes who think that they're super cool. COOLER THAN YOU. also, if they're mindlessly basing all of their opinions off of pitchfork reviews. other than that, there is nothing wrong with listening to an obscure band, there is nothing wrong with listening to music on vinyl, there is nothing wrong with wearing thick glasses (people have done so for years and years), there is nothing wrong with wearing tight clothes (people have done this for years and years as well), there is nothing wrong with the opposition of big business and supporting independent establishments. there is nothing wrong with most of these "hipster" traits. there is nothing wrong with love.
