A group about Dark Metal bands.

The concerned bands play dark, menacing and heavy music that is without a question - metal.

The term originates from the swedish band Destiny (Atomic Winter album 1988), but is more widely known due to the German band Bethlehem and their 1994 album Dark Metal.

Some of the connected bands here define themselves as Dark Metal, some of them don't. They have been picked up due to the fact they play focused and uncompromised dark metal music and therefore reflect the feeling that this genre should be all about.

The word dark is not not an excuse word. It is an adjective that describes precisely and perfectly an object. In this case the music, lyrics and over all feeling of the artist's products. Bear that in mind when you contribute to this page and suggest additions or changes.
