Here you may compare the music and civil rights issues of the past to the movements of our times, being inspired by the Black liberation movement, the women's movement, and many others. For an introductory discussion of the purpose of this group, the difference between civil rights and human rights, and other relant issues, see this thread. The site is under continuous development! Please contact member DetroitSoulJazz if you are interested in contributing or share the formal responsibility as a co-leader. Civil Rights Music is a collective endeavor!

Our group radio is amazing! It actually plays the music we purport to represent. And we have not tampered with it. It just plays what everyone are listening to, which seems to be exactly music associated with the civil rights movement!
