Pianist Robert Mitchell’s subtle touch and fertile imagination shine in this collaboration with Cuban violinist Omar Puente’s feverish rhythmic energy. Drawing together elements of jazz, classical and Cuban music, Robert and Omar create an unprecedented sound for jazz.
In the Mix - Sunday FREE Jazz by Soweto Kinch Every Sunday | 2pm - 5pm Bar | FREE Rich Mix is proud to present its continued partnership with jazz and hip hop artist Soweto Kinch. A selection of groundbreaking musicians take residence in the Rich Mix Bar to create laid back sessions that are fast making Rich Mix the place to be on a Sunday afternoon.
The Michael Janisch/Pete Zimmer Quintet Sat 25 April | 8.00pm Bar | £10, £8 concs
US saxophonist Joel Frahm joins bassist Michael Janisch and drummer Pete Zimmer, alongside Jim Hart on vibes and Alex Garnett on saxes. Rooted in hard bop, albeit shaded with modern harmonies, the quintet has gained strong success both in the US and UK.
