We deserve more than 30 second previews and impersonal, randomized, low-bandwidth radio.

As of 17 Nov. 2010, Playlists, Loved Tracks and Personal Tag Radios are no longer streamable.

This group was started to protest the loss of on-demand, full-track previews, but it now stands for everything that Last.fm has taken away in the last three years. Since the CBS takeover, Last.fm has slowly become a shadow of its former self and is now worth nothing.

You do NOT have to settle for randomized, low-bandwidth radio as your only choice for music.

If you use the Google Chrome browser, install the Last.fm Free Music Player. This player will allow you to listen to single tracks, albums, playlists and loved tracks. It does NOT work for libraries or artist radio.

There are other music sites out there, such as Libre.fm, Like.fm, 8tracks, rdio, MOG, we7, Free Music Archive, Pandora, Spotify, Hypem, Gogoyoko, Grooveshark, Bandcamp, iLike, Soundcloud.

Don't renew your subscription. Last.fm does not deserve financial support unless they give something of value in return.

    You guys need to learn how to torrent. Or at least use the Last.fm free player extension for Chrome for when you want to listen to new music, like I do. I do think that the mix radio provided by Last.fm is useful, but if you don't live in the US, Germany or the UK you should get a proxy from one of those countries. It's slow but if you have the patience, it works

    You can still download free music, in Google, type the artist's name and free download beside it, and alot of free virus free sites pop up :) I don't do that with everything, i do buy most songs from itunes, but itunes doesnt have everything so this is good too :)
