Bands similar to BoC

Hi ya all.

Think that you're such as big fan of BoC as I am, and that you have many other propositions of similar sounds.

Are there any other bands that you already know and which you could recommend to listen?

My suggestions are:
FREESCHA - quite similar :)
RED LINES - for free (yeeey)
XELA
HELIOS - not every album
ZEGUNDER
L.S.G. - really good
AUTECHRE - kiddin :P
PSI PERFORMER - I enjoy this every time I listen
ISAN - even better
TIPPER - album: SURROUNDED

think that's all I hope :)

Please post your recommendations...

I have catched some stuff from Tycho and I must say that it's pretty good :)
Maybe not so impressive - more 'sleepy', but very intelligent indeed :)
Now lets find out, what's the Black Moth Super Rainbow all about :P

Locust Toybox is pretty good, made by flash animator David Firth, who's Salad Fingers cartoon is the reason I got into Boards of Canada in the first place.

I'm also quite good friends with the decent ambient project A Pyxie Worm.

I love ISAN's take on the Gymnopedies, but haven't heard much else. Any recomendations?

I've got only two albums of ISAN, but I think I will have to search for more...
The ones that I have are: 'Clock Work Menagerie' and 'lucky cat'. Both are pretty cool, so ISANish :)

If you like ISAN, then my recomendation is PSI PERFORMER, album called 'ART IS A DIVISION OF PAIN" original tracks, and remixes are very very good in my opinion. It is 100% 'must listen' :)

I will check your LOCUST TOYBOX.
Someone has recomended TYCHO, so I've got one album and I must say that it's excellent :)

Ochre

Hey,

in case you didnt know him, I present you Ochre. This one is just what we all need - a peaceful and genius IDM's :)

The tracks are hard to get in the internet, but on Ochre's webpage you can find some of the free tracks and remixes. They are pretty good so I suggest you all check him out.

As for me, I'm drowning in the 'A Midsummer Nice Dream' album :)

The most similar sound I ever heard belongs to netaudio artists that love BoC too: Fieldtripq and Loafeye. Both albuns are free and beautiful.

Other artists like Saturday Index, Paramnesic and Phaelan are similar but I dont know if they released any albuns.

FOUR TET - they sound like a less moody boards. Slightly more conventional than BOC but more immediate; just as rewarding after repeated listens. check out the album "Rounds"

Sadahnmo is very BOC-influenced, though still sounding very uniquely different. He's got a tight rhythm section going on with some jazzy chord structures and some neat harmonic phrasing.
Check him out
