• The Great Spring Cleaning Of Mine

    Set 14 2009, 14h55 por debetcan

If you read my profile writing, then you know that i tidy up my room only once i year. And this cleaning happens in summer. Well , today i woke up and focus on my mission.I was kinda exitied and maybe a bit afraid of paper-monster and dust-monster which i defeated sucsesfully.Preparing to fight, i made up my war paints (this is a huge lie). And i filled my wooden pint(actually glass, coz i couldnt find a wooden one) with tasty viking beer(it was only peace juice in fact). Then the greate war against dust and paper monsters started. To make it a bit more fun , i took 'before&after' photos. Here they are :

This is my writing table which i never use to study or something, i use it like 'a-place-to-put-any-kinda-stuff'.
    Before..................................................After..............................

This is the shelf on the top of my writing table.I put all kinda stuff there when my writing table got full last year.
    Before..................................................After..............................

This is the new part of my bookcase which i didnt use to put books. But this year i need it , so i had to tidy it up.
    Before..................................................After..............................

This is the edge of my table which my younger brother actually messed up.A couple of years ago he sticked all these stickers coz he thought i would like them. The fact is i hated them so much but of course i didnt tell this to my brother not to make him upset. And cleannig these things were god damn exhousting, i had to scratch them out one by one.
    Before..................................................After..............................

I was grouping all the things on my bed:

And look what i found! Fish shaped gels to stick on any kinda glass which made me think of making my little mirror prettier:

And here is the result :

This big boys are gonna end up in the litter bin.

Well, cleaning my room took 4 hours and ,of course, the mess was huger than you can see but photos can tell only a part of it :)
  • CD review - "Beloved Enemy"

    Title: Beloved Enemy
    Artist: Jesus on Extasy

    Album Review

They came to breathe new life into the “dead” industrial genre and their first album crushed in like a bomb and they quickly became a hype in the Goth scene, but a good one in this case as the five are all talented musicians. With their second instalment ‘Beloved Enemy’, JESUS ON EXTASY prove that they’re not a nine day wonder and ready to stay.

Already the first and at the same time title-giving song ‘Beloved Enemy’ shows the quality blend of post industrial elements here represented by tine atmospheric textures and sequencer lines with driving drums and pushing guitar riffs, while the following ‘Change the World’ conjures up a much gloomier atmosphere. Atmosphere is also a major element in ‘Break you Apart’ and the guitars are comparatively reluctant there, but the rhythmic parts with shifting rhythms and tempo is very interesting to listen to over and over again.

The alternation of very calm parts and breakouts of angry has been pushed to the extreme with the song ‘Lies’, starting with fast-paced, hammering drums and sequences combined with screaming vocals and when you expect it least, the songs slows down all of a sudden. The mood gets darker, piano dabs appear and Dorian’s chant turns to a reluctant one marked with a pinch of fragility. Really like that song. ‘You don’t know anything’ is such a song, where the fusion of the industrial and rock elements is just perfect. The transitions are absolutely fluently, so you can’t tell, where the one thing ends and the other one starts. Just like it has to be! ‘Dead Presidents’ is another favourite of mine. It deals with the willingness of selling your soul for a handful of dollars. ‘Sometimes’ is the concluding track and what a track, a real power-ballad, blending classic, electronic and rock elements.

‘Beloved Enemy’ is a worthy successor for the debut ‘Holy Beauty’ it picks the approaches, develops them further and combines them with new elements and ideas. All I can say is: Well done!

  • New Visions of Solitude Album "Of Aeons" Released

    Jul 22 2009, 0h20 por Piro24

After much delay, I've finally uploaded the album (successfully) to Last.fm . I had previously uploaded it twice, both times a technical glitch/error caused the songs to be deleted and not show up on Last.fm.

The album is slightly less focused on nature, it is more moody and less purely atmospheric than the "A Walk through the Empty Woods" demo. There's even a moody song that came out of a bored experimentation in FL-Studio. It sounds like a crappy trance song gone darker ;p.

Anyway, I hope you all enjoy the album, like last time, all the songs are free to listen and download!

  • Recommend Some Guy Music Part 2: The Sequel That Will Be More Successful Than The…

    Jul 14 2009, 3h56 por Someguy1332

Alright, so once again I find myself at a musical stand still. My recommendations aren't really helping me with much aside from getting into power violence. The previous recommend me music journal worked so damned well and introduced me to some of my new favorite bands including WHY? and Kylesa.

But now I've got a broadband connection and some hard drive space that needs to filled up with excellent music.

That's where you come in last.fm community. Recommend me anything and I'll listen to it, unless it's Brokencyde or something that's terrible beyond words.

AND NOW FOR SOME ARTIST SPAM SO PEOPLE WILL ACTUALLY READ THIS:

Lifelover, The World/Inferno Friendship Society,Murder by Death, Irepress, Aesop Rock, The Flaming Tsunamis,Carla Kihlstedt,Mischief Brew, Yyrkoon, Those Poor Bastards,Defiance, Ohio, Audrey, Big D and the Kids Table, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Estradasphere, Morphine, By the End of Tonight Ayreon, Akphaezya,El Ten Eleven, Maybeshewill,Deadboy & the Elephantmen, P.O.S., Baroness, Atmosphere, Acid Bath, Amesoeurs, Katatonia, 2 Foot Yard, Streetlight Manifesto, Opeth, Anathema, Eyedea, Agalloch, This Bike Is a Pipe Bomb, Saxon Shore, Fantômas, maudlin of the Well, dälek, Agents of Oblivion, The Gathering, Stars, Death, Idiot Flesh, Russian Circles, Dog Fashion Disco, Sonic Boom Six, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum.

I knew I'd find a use for that paste your taste feature!

Those 50 bands aren't going to give me enough traffic!

Porcupine Tree, Unexpect, Giant Squid, Demons & Wizards, Gamma Ray, Mad Caddies, Blind Guardian, God Is an Astronaut, Crippled Black Phoenix, Symphony X, Miasma & The Carousel of Headless Horses, Hammers of Misfortune, Iron Maiden, Mogwai, Municipal Waste, Nevermore, Meanwhile, Back in Communist Russia..., Evergrey, Stolen Babies, Tortoise,Bloodbath, Kiuas, Stream of Passion, Judas Priest, Epica, Explosions in the Sky, Angra

    OK that should be enough.

I'll comment on your recommendations when I get bored.

  • And you thought the Tipper sticker was bad ...

    Jul 10 2009, 10h46 por ThrillKillWilly

Just came home from the local CD store and getting new ammunition for my ears. I was anxious to get the latest Asphyx album Death... The Hard Way and so I went for getting the limited edition. But lord, how did they fuck up the alternative cover:

It wasn't for the artwork (rusted metal and the band logo is what you expect from the dutch masters), but look at this, look at the insanely big age rating sticker. In fact, its not a sticker, which you could scratch away somehow - its printed on the cover and stays there for eternity. They fucked up the same with The Devil You Know - now that's bullshit. Huge massive devil on the cover but you only see half of it because of the fricking big green age rating.

In Germany, movies are rated for watchers at age zero, six, twelve, sixteen and eighteen. Those age ratings were put on the DVD sides with a small symbol, and a bigger one on the back of the DVD box. But at worst it's half the size than the new age rating sticker for CDs!

This is like raping some cover artist's work. Imagine some beautiful artwork by some album, and you can only see 3/4 of it. It's insane. Sure you wanna keep minors from getting their hands on infamous albums way too soon, but this scars a CD cover forever. The new Asphyx album was shrinked-wrapped on which advertisement sticker has been put on - and the new DevilDriver album had an age rating sticker that could be scratched off carefully. Why not doing this for all albums for the German market? Why disfiguring good cover artwork for no reason? This is the way people are driven to download albums illegally - Asphyx for ages 12 or older - yeah that's heavy metal. Remember there was once a time where people bought albums because of the cover artwork, be it on vinyl or on CD. Now those people get a hideous age rating sticker.

  • Witchking news - Nowy wokalista! / New vocalist!

    Jun 1 2009, 21h16 por Gajdek

    Witchking NEWS (english version below):

    Nowy wokalista Witchking!

    English
    version:

    New vocalist!

Recently reduced Witchking lineup once again shines in full glory. The vacant spot as a lead singer has been taken by Michał Żaczek, known from progressive metal band Reload. Here's what Tomek Pater had to say about him: "We had a very good contact with Michał, from the very first meeting. There's no doubt that he is the right person in the right place. He passes his enthusiasm on to us with his ideas for arranging new material. We definately needed this kind of fresh blood in our veins, and despite the fact that this is only the beginning, we are all very optimistic about the future". The band has already started working on a new, third, studio album.

    Dante’s Inferno

Through the fiery caverns we sail
Virgil at my side my guide and master
Questing through the nine plains of hell
Infernal wisdom shall fill my soul
    Slowly now the days departing
    The darkened air releases me
    Frightening visions of my journey
Entrance me to limbo I'm not
    Free

Abandon all hope who enter here
    Enter the gates, Charon awaits

Abandon all hope who enter here
For this is where all things are left behind
Every doubt and every cowardice must die
Souls of rage and anger whipping in despair

The souls that wail on this plain pray for death
Denial is the reason for their suffering
Forever being stung by wasps and demons breath
The blood and tears that fall serve the maggots need

Descention, thrusting to the second plain
Minos judges as his tail twines
Lustful thoughts and greed whip these wretched souls
A hurricane of hate mocks their helpless pleas

Drifting now down deeper, into eternal flames
Awake at the third circle, the cold and filthy rain
Punished for their gluttony, languid for all time
The earth it stinks of corpses, damned for all time
The vicious beast Cerebus, three heads, blooded eyes
Tears his talons through the air, all the skinners cry

Down, be still thy cursed wolf
    The master scorns its name
    Dive to the next plain
    The sullen and the vain
    Suffer for greed
    The prodigal they bleed
    For all eternity
    Plutus holds the key

Damned, the wrathful and the vain
    Suffer the fifth plain
    Cross the river Styx
    Heed your crucifix
    The mudded corpses cry
    Howling to the sky
    Reach the other side
    Open wide the gate

Enter the sixth circle of barren land and flames
Passing through the gate of dis the furies scream her name
Belching forth in agony invoking her to rise
The spirit's rage consuming us the evil in their cries
Queen of vipers, queen of serpents
    Cast their souls to stone
Spread to wealth of Gorgon's power
    Medusa's inner soul

We're drawing ever closer to the seventh hell
They violate their neighbors, their god and themselves
We're sailing slowly through the boiling river of blood
Immersed in the depths below souls scream in agony
The twisted beast he laughs, he draws his arrow back
His sights on anyone exposing of their flesh
He impales their hearts with ease
    And shrugs their piercing screams
    Pity is they'll never die
    They'll suffer here eternally

Imagine a place where every horror comes to life
Where every torture is real and time stands still
Eight fiery steps and we're closer to the end

In a cold and timeless grave buried head first in shit
Praying all the while for a quick & painless death
Scratching furiously at scabbed and oozing wounds

    Lucifer ... angel of light
    Cast below god of ice
    Ruling hell unholy trinity
The traitors freeze for all eternity
    Lucifer ... betrayer of god
    Tormentor ruthless and cold
    Judas' screaming here in agony
The traitors freeze for all eternity

    ALINTIDIR...
