This weeks Featured Artist on Belgian Electronics:

Cruise [Ctrl]

Bio from www.cruisectrl.be:

Cruise [Ctrl] is an electronica duo based in Belgium.

After two EP's and some contributions to compilations, a first album is released in January 2008 on [url= http://divineco.records.free.fr]Divine Comedy Records. It is named I Heard it! and it includes 10 original tracks, 2 collaborations (with Jean-Luc De Meyer aka "the voice of Front 242" and Celine) and 5 remixes (C-Drik, roswell conspiracy, Sulphuric Saliva, Celluloide, Communication Zero). This first album is now SOLD OUT.

The duo recorded more drone-atmospheric tunes. The first episodes of the TWO.LONE.SNOWMEN.SESSIONS were issued on [url= http://mekaproductions.com]Meka Productions in March 2009.

The second album is on the way (scheduled issue date : in the beginning of 2010) with new dancefloor skuds, atmospheric tracks and great collaborations !

Belectronics opinion:

I listened to their myspace. And the first thing that got into my head was that they found a way to introduce minimalism into the industrial sound. It feels like the minimal techno Joey Beltram produces only they manage to make it feel very harsh!!

It’s a great concept if you wanna see how industrial can evolve!

I’m actually quite curious how their two lone snowmen sessions sound
