Best free IDM

Everyone loves free music, so what's the best stuff around on the web (netlabels, artist sites etc) that people have found.

I'll kick things off.

I'm a bit biased as I'm responsible for maintaining the monotonik catalogue on Last.FM. So from that label:

ST (not the Russian rapper by the same name) has 2 releases on the site. "I'll meet you there" available here (check out "Csanca") and "Emotions in a box" available here.
More recently risch's "Synesthesia" was excellent. That's here.

There's loads of great stuff on the label, too much to list. I've put together a playlist of some of my favourites here.

On the Ronin Collective label, my favourite would have to be "Luster Heart" by Blisaed. Get that here. The track "Butterflies" is the the highlight for me.

On Maetrix Solution there is "Blue Shimmery Fall" by Jap Jap. This is heading to the more melodic side of IDM, think Ulrich Schnauss. You can get the album here. Check out his remix/reinterpretation of a Mew track, "Now that you're here". He's also reworked a tune I wrote and called it All For You which is streamable on this site.

B. Fleischmann has some tracks that are downloadable on his site. I'd recommend "Toru Okada" which is a duo505 track.

Finally, I should mention Sutemos as this is an IDM group. Their new "Intelligent Toys" release is out and worth a listen.

You can get all the Liminal Recs releases (mostly ambient/IDM-type stuff) for free here:

Be sure to check out Skey, Soaring man, and Chaos Control. And while I usually don't like compilation albums, their 'Liminality' release is astounding!

Haven't posted here for a while. Best thing I've come across recently is Dear Motorist (Part 1 & 2) by Dave Zeal which you can download from here (track 8).

Other than that I haven't had much time to scour the netlabel scene recently so I need tips from other people!

Following on from Irotas's recommendation for Kahvi, check out Workbench's release "Zoo" (available here). My favourite is the 20 minute epic piece de la terre à la cime (I & II).

You can try Between Stations Ep by Recue.

The first track Himanka is particularly impressive.

If you like this, then try Bad Loop. The Lumme EP is available here. You should also check out the Milieu remix of the track available on Archaic Horizon.

Speaking of Archaic Horizon, the new release by counterspark is particularly lovely. Not really IDM, more beatless, ambient bliss but definitely still worth a listen. It's available here.

Then I last discovered http://www.acroplane.org/. They have good releases. E.g. check this one 'ACP035 wAgAwAgA - mrepsican'. It's great!

Hi everyone, I came across Bad Loop - http://badloop.bandcamp.com/ - fantastic and free to download. I found it on a youtube channel called WomanElectro, which features a LOT of real good IDM...also, although I don't tag my music with the IDM genre, last.fm listeners have tagged it IDM and I am influenced by many so called "IDM" artists.
