Hi, this is the group for Last.fm users in and near Albany, NY.
If you've never been here before and you live in the area, you should join. If you're already a member, you've probably noticed that something looks different, so let me take a second to explain.
This group looked pretty stagnant when I stumbled across it, so I decided we should try to bring it back to life a bit. Thing is, I'm not sure how we should do that. Albany is a diverse city with a great music scene; we have some killer local bands and, for a city of 100,000 people, a really impressive list of acts who play here.
Let's capitalize (ha... ha) on that. The "Articles" area is opened up to all users, so feel free to start posting anything relevant to Albany and music there. Did you see a show recently or have something to sound off on? Do it up. If you're posting something for discussion, use the "Discussion" area. Duh. And go ahead and recommend your favorite local bands and their songs to the group.
