  • Yeah, I think EA went too far with those. It takes about five minutes for Safari to load the whole page. Lets say roughly ten or so pics per post, lest things get out of hand.

  • I just wanted to make sure the whole thread wouldn't wind up a smattering of pictures. My connection is great and Firefox is a beast, so this still loads in a snap. Problem is for those poor poor bastards still on Dial up, and goofs who run Safari like Cacophonaut. Anyone, since this 1st page is already doomed to having a shit load of pictures I'll post another 20 or so before page 2 gets under way.

    I wish I could explain that to you Someguy. Fungi is quite fascinating stuff, though I know very little about it.

  • What's with this technology? At least 3 of the posts were not here last time : - EA's many pictures and Caco's 2 posts have magically appeared! I blame EA and his infeasibly large post!

    I found the picture on google images, but I've no doubt a better one can be found. It's by Ansel Adams. I did google search for Ansel Adams+tree roots and found this. On that page there's a 'printer friendly image' to click on which brings up quite a good image of the picture.

    Uhm uh yeah, you might have wanted to think that through a little better.

    What do you guys have on your desktops? I've been fiddling around with mine quite a bit lately.
