What book or books are you reading?

  • Gravity's Rainbow by Thomas Pynchon, but University is keeping me away from it right now.

"Yes, 'Everybody's happy nowadays.' We begin giving the children that at five. But wouldn't you like to be free to be happy in some other way? In your own way, for example; not in everybody else's way."
  • On Intelligence by Jeff Hawkins. Pretty interesting so far

I think you got the wrong picture :

Reading American Gods by Neil Gaiman, started it a long time ago but my ADD must have got me distracted by another book.

"Life's not a bitch, life is a beautiful woman, you only call her a bitch cuz she won't let you get that pussy"
    Aesop Rock
  • Bob Dylan's autobiography

  • after successfully avoiding the hunger games for years, i finally have had to start reading it for my english class. it's not as bad as i thought it would be, but it's pretty bad. it's not poorly written or anything, i guess, it's just annoying.

Yeah, university is really keeping me away from Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy at the moment. I'm kind of butchering it by reading a few pages like once a week. The prose is pretty awesome though.

Normally i'd be upset, with a modern author writing a sequel to sacred texts like Hitchhiker's Guide...

But Eoin Colfer is one of the finest writers out there. Ireland's answer to Douglas Adams

(...And it also has Adam's wife's blessing).

Absolutely awe-inspiring reading. Its not often I come across animals I haven't already heard of, but this book has plenty.

I have to confess I didn't enjoy this one very much. I got about a 1/4 of the way through it before losing interest.

  • Currently reading this

After I've finished that I'll be reading this next

  • Trying to read two books at once: Journey to the Center of the Earth by Jules Verne and Pretty Birds by Scott Simon (I've already read both but I felt like reading them again).

  • The Green Mile by Stephen King and American Conspiracies by Jesse Ventura.
