Can't scrobble all the time

Hi,

Sometimes it works fine to scrobble my ipod, and sometimes there's nothing happening at all.
Could it be that there is a limit?

For instance, that you have to wait a week before you can scrobble your Ipod again. Or that you must have listened to at least 300 songs?
