Windows Media Player error

 

  • Windows Media Player error

    OS: Windows XP SP2
    Player: Windows Media Player 11
    Last.Fm version: 1.5.4.24567
    WMP plugin version: 2.1.0.6

    Problem:
    When half of track is played there's an error appearing.
    wmp_scrobbler.dll causes failure in WMP.

    Try re-installing the Last.Fm plugin.

  • Reinstalled Last.Fm plugin, WMP-plugin, even WMP itself several times - it's not working. :(

    I got a bit the same problem
    I use windows media player to and i need to do the tools over and over again.
    I dont see any lastfm icon if just play someting but i need then first doning the tools and then it shows up

    I mean if you see tools and then get plugin . I need to install that over over again because it doesnt show up at hiself

  • It was so damn easy.
    It's all about your firewall settings. I closed all connections to WMP, so no data could be transferred to internet, but it also closed all local connections. And WMP needs a local connection to transfer track data to last.fm plugin.
    So just open access for WMP to all connections and it'll be okay.
