    Won't let me 'sign in'

So a while ago my scrobbler just stopped scrobbling.
    So I tried everything.
Finally I uninstalled and reinstalled the program.

Now it won't let me sign in.

It goes to the set up page, I put in my user name and password then hit next, but nothing happens!
I kept trying to uninstall and reinstall but nothing is working.

    I am using Windows XP.

    Help!

  • same exact problem :(

Check if there's a firewall or another security program blocking your scrobbler from connecting to the internet to verify your user details.

I know there have been problems with a security program called Bitdefender where exactly this happens (scrobbler hangs during installation, the step where you enter your username and password). Normally there's an error message but it may happen there is none if not the program itself is blocked, but its internet connection is blocked in some other weird ways.

Try this search for more help with Bitdefender or search for your firewall/security program, maybe there have already been other threads with more tips, too:

  • Hi!

In my case the solution was heavyweight virus/spyware/trojan scanning. Now, after several cleaning tools and dozens of killed spywares it works perfectly.

  • Same problem here, I have reinstalled the program a thousand times for the last five days!

  • mine is doing the same exact thing. it wouldn't connect to server, so i uninstalled and reinstalled, and now it gets stuck on the login screen. i even tried system restore and it didn't work, and now my computer is even more messed up. if it were a firewall of some sort how would i find that out? i didn't make any changes to my firewall settings. it just stopped scrobbling out of nowhere on may 1st.

I have same problem either since electricity went off. I don't use any security program and my firewall is off.

    Who killed bambi?
  • I have just realised that I can login from other PC's but not from my laptop, I don't know what to do anymore!

Same with me. When I switched browers the logging in problem got fixed, but I still can't scrobble. Also it doesn't display my 7 day charts.

    Thank you!

did the same thing and it appears to have sorted it (as well as some nagging problems with my browser)
