Last.fm client locks up while opening preferences (NEW)

The LFM client locks up for up to 5 minutes on my 10.5.6 mac intel macbook pro 2.8 ghz and has ZERO processor usage for this time. appears to probably be a kernel fault within the app its self. should i dump and reinstall
