Using the iPhone app and scrobbling non-radio plays

Though it doesn't scrobble stuff played locally on the iphone (I'm not complaining about this, I know it's not last.fm's fault), the new last.fm app is pretty slick.
My question is this: if I listen to some songs on the iphone app's radio, and then some songs that are locally on the iphone, will the locally played ones scrobble through the desktop software when I sync the phone, or will it trigger the spam protection because I listened to some radio on the iphone app between syncs? Thanks! (I've tried experimenting with it, but I've honestly never gotten the desktop software to scrobble the iphone even before I used the iphone last.fm app)
