    Ah,
I just changed my password and there we go... XD

  • Thank you!
Just changed the password and everything was running once again :) :)

  • FIREWALL! It turns out, when i had this problem, it was because my firewall was blocking Last.FM so, you could always try changing your firewall settings on your computer! Hope this helps~!!

  • so i did the cleaner and new password thing and it worked for a day, now its doing the same as before, i dont want to have to reset my password everyday

  • Please, help :/ Last.fm doesn't want to work on my computer. It works fine on the other so I think it's a problem with OS (Win XP Pro SP3). It doesn't want to connect to the update server but I've copied files from other PC and now I can login but I can't scrobble. In Diagnostics it shows "Can't connect to the server". Did you have such problem? Please help.

This is annoying. Can we have a solution? I've tried all of the suggestions above.

    Worked!

    Hello all,

Thanks to prom we traced this down to the wrong password hash being sent from the client - please go to the options dialog in the client and RE-ENTER your username and password, then save.

If that works, post here saying so.

Also, I'd like to know if you used the Last.fm fingerprinter recently. We suspect that it may be a bug in that corrupting the hashes.

    Thanks,
    --jonty

This worked for me! wow thank you! finally after 2 months my songs show up again!

    Worked!

Worked for me too. Never used the fingerprinter - have no idea what it is either! Many thanks to Jonty, prom and guruubii :)

Last.FM should let users know about these things. It can be very frustrating to locate these problems.

I was listening to music last night on Foobar 0.9.6.9 which has a built in scrobbler that submits directly from Foobar (instead of the last.Fm plugin app). It was working all night, then suddenly not .... it was still submitting the 2nd track of an album I was listening to, but failed on the 3rd track onwards.

Tried all other versions of Foobar I had (including old version that uses the Last.FM scrobbler) and other media players but all failed.

Read the FAQ and it claimed the servers were all working fine (which they were I suppose). Not helpful - they should post info like this pro-actively to assist users with problems since users haven't done anything at all!!

  • thanks jonty!

I'm running Windows Vista, Itunes 9 and Last.fm-1.5.4.24567. I keep getting this error:

I have tried all the "solutions" in this thread the reset/change password, the cleaner, uninstalling and reinstalling and I'm not behind a proxy. It's an approved program through my firewall. I'm at my wits end trying to get the scrobbler to work on my computer. If anyone has any advice or solutions it would be much appreciated.

    sweet stuff

  • Changing the password for me worked, I tried refreshing the page and no change appeared. But then I clicked on the settings link next to 'recently listened to tracks' and changed my timezone. Then switched it back and all my scrobbled songs appeared. yippeedy doo dah.
