on my computer, Last.fm now skips from artist to artist about once a second

 

  • on my computer, Last.fm now skips from artist to artist about once a second

    Started yesterday, re-installed the software but no fix.
    The Lst.fm player window shows each artist/song but will not play, just jumps ahead to the next artist/song.

    Windows XP, Media Player plugin version 1.5.4.27091

  • Try uninstalling the Last.fm desktop client, then removing residual files by deleting the following folder:

    C:\Users\*YOUR WINDOWS USERNAME HERE*\AppData\Local\Last.fm

    Then reinstall.

    Un-installed again, and the Last.fm folder was removed during uninstall.
    Re-installed plugin, same problem as before.

    Any other suggestions?
    Could it be a problem on your end?

    I want to use the plugin, so I won't have to endure the commercials on your website.

  • same problem on different computers

    The plug-in shows the same "fast forward" problem on another computer in our office.

    We're on intranet connections to a central server, which accesses the internet.

    Is there anything in particular in firewall, antivirus or other network settings that I should talk to our IT guys about?
    This erratic behavior started in the middle of the workday on Wednesday, not sure if IT changed any network configs.
