Think last.fm player killed the plugin

After I downloaded the last.fm player, I automatically replaced the plugin I used for Winamp. After that, I don't think I scrobbled.

I played about 100 mp3s for the last few days, but nothing showed up. So I downloaded the plugin manually, now it all works. No, the player wasn't up and running. It should not be required to.

Actually it should be required to with the new plugin.

    That's how it (currently) works.

So everyone I want to scrobble, I have to start two programs. Winamp and last.fm player...

    Nice.

Give me a warning next time :)

Nope. You start Winamp and the last.fm player starts automatically. ;P

It's just a teeny weeny icon in your taskbar.
If it bothers you that much (assuming you're using XP) hide it.

Why the hell do so many people get so hung up about this issue?

Check how much memory is used and how many CPU cycles are being consumed whilst the thing is minimised to your task bar.
It really isn't a big deal!

  • Plus you can right-click on the taskbar icon and love a track from there or if you're listening to the radio you can use all the skip, stop, ban buttons.
