Cannot open Last.fm.app (Mac OSX 10.4.7)

Cannot open Last.fm.app (Mac OSX 10.4.7)

Double click, icon shows in doc, icon disappears, crash dialogue. I'm on a brand new MacBook Pro 17" Intel.

I get the same problem on a 15" Macbook Pro 10.4.7

It crashes with KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE

I have the same problem. I fell back on iScrobbler until this gets fixed.

just downloaded last.fm and i'm all excited about it, but i have the same problem on my 12inch powerbook. :(

Same problem here, on a brand new MacBook with OS X 10.4.7.. I'm using the old audioscrobbler plugin as well.

Hey i know i just posted the last comment, but sense the posting i've figured out a workaround. Download the 1.0.1 beta found here:

http://static.last.fm/client/Mac/LastFM_Mac_1.0.1.dmg

that version should install fine (it did for me). Then update to 1.0.4. It worked for me and i'm scrobbling with the 1.0.4 build perfectly. Hope it helps!

Same problem here. I emailed before reading this. It's with the newest version because it doesn't do it on my laptop (which I haven't updated--and won't until this is resolved, I suppose).

Wish they would have posted a message in my dashboard.

Oh well.

That beta version quits before I can even install it properly :(
And the old scrobbler has stopped working too all of a sudden. I am sad at my lack of scrobbling.

Glad another user figured out how to go back a few revs and force the upgrade. That did the trick even on a MacBook Pro.

BTW... Pandora's a cool product, no social tools, but still way cool...

I need some answers

I did everything that was recommended and the client just won't work. Any other recommendations? I have an imac, but the really annoying thing is that my room mate has a newer mac book and the client works fine. what do i do?
