Mine never updates, I did get one update once, but thats it. My brother though, his account updates after each and every song played.

This plugin is just crap.

No, no one's account updates after every song.

Yours will update, and it'll update faster in the future, so have patience.

new dilema

well finally my plays updated!! i was really excited for that. Yet i thought you would like to know that the Date Generated is Wrong, its still saying the last date generated, well for me anyway.

i've been reading all the threads about this and i see the advice about just being patient and waiting. which is fine and all, just wondering how long some of you have had to wait for an udpate of the Top Songs/Artists. mine hasn't updated since the 22nd of December, par for the course?

Yeah, give or take a few weeks. Some people are getting updates daily, these days. The system is most definitely improved, in my opinion. I think your update should be coming up, though. Just keep listening. :}

Mine hasn't updated since the 9th December... and when someone said its based on reccomendations to other people, the stuff on my top lists isn't the music I normally listen to.

Mine hasnt updated since december 18th. No matter how much I listen too. There probably 1000 songs that I've listened to that aren't present in my top tracks/artists.

I used to think that labels were just symbol of pride
but over time i've seen they only serve to divide
it's so easy to judge people by the way they seem to be
we must overcome this problem to live life peacfully
break down the walls!

It was SKaJihad who hasnt had an update since december. This name actually gets updates often enough.

just wondering; does Hourly Submission Processing Rate on the stats graph represent tracks being added to a user's played tracks list or has it anything to do with the top artists/tracks updating?

is there any point at which older tracks played that have not been added to the top artists/tracks will be dropped from the db? someone mentioned last.fm shows the last 1000; are only these 1000 taken into account when the top tracks/artists are updated?

The graph isn't entirely accurate, so far as I know. Your Last.FM profile editor will show your last 1000 tracks, but those _should_ all have been submitted. If they are submitted into the db, they should be included in the update.

Going by my experience, if you think your top list hasn't updated yet because of the "last updated" date, a little squinting at the list might reveal that it's the date that hasn't updated... Mine updated at least an hour ago but the date still doesn't reflect it.

Not complaining, of course. I'd rather have the date be wrong and the list be right than the other way around. ;)

This is true, mine took a number of hours to update the "last updated" thing, too. Even though it was obvious that it had updated (since I completely screwed my profile up, using the profile editor, bahaha). :}
