This idea would also partially solve the same name problem as well, as you could make sure your artist is the one whos picture is shown. Last.fm for goodness sake, at least give some appearance that you want to fix the fundamental problems with your website. You have the cheek to post a list of irrelevant updates that you placed on "popular request", and yet you ignore the obvious and glaring issues which your users are figuratively screaming about...

Yeah this would be such an easy way to pretty much eradicate that problem, really don't understand why it can't be implemented.

Please give us this feature. It grieves me when an artist is stuck with the wrong pictures--especially the older, accomplished musicians who deserve a more respectful acknowledgement.

This is a constant problem in the Felt shoutbox. Fans of the American hip-hop group and fans of the British post-punk band are always bickering over which default picture has made it to the top, and of course this is just one example. This needs to be implemented.

I support this request! This could actually make a lot of shoutboxes more plesant to write in when all the "THIS IS THE WRONG -bandname- THE CORRECT ONE IS FROM USA" etc-comments disappear from the shoutboxes.

At least this should be a Subscriber's option, and only on well-known shared profiles.

I support this too, it's a pretty easy fix for multiple artists with the same name. Actually i'd really like it to be implemented on every artist even when there's only one artist using the name, I'm really annoyed at times when about half of my library's artist have a black and white default photo.

The obvious problem with this would be people uploading inappropriate pictures and using them in their library but I think that they should just be banned. Wouldn't even take much resources on moderating since people could just flag pictures like they do now.

This is a great idea. I'd totally subscribe again for this!

(This is a new account, but I was a subscriber for years with my old one. I'm just not sure what added value subscribing brings me now, but for that? I'd shell out in a heartbeat.)
