No Internet Connection - Scrobble Later

Maybe the software does this and I just haven't caught it. Maybe this has already been suggested, but I searched and didn't find it.

I would be nice if the software while not connected to the internet would hang onto what you have been listening to and then scrobble them later when you do have a connection.

If this is a repeat post, I apologize and the thread should be locked.

  • The software already does this.

In the desktop app see: Help > Diagnostics > (the Scrobbling tab: Cached tracks)

Any track that has been listened to, but not transmitted to Last.fm will appear here.

Actually I want a "Scrobble Later" feature although I'm online (something to do with privacy, etc.), I already know a trick to achieve that purpose, but I'd love to see that as a feature in the client.

The orginal feature of the thread exists, so this is somewhat case closed.

The "scrobble later" feature has been discussed before and is unlikely to be implimented any time soon. As you say, if you care that much that you're willing to go to an effort about it there are several ways of doing it.

A more useful way to build this feature in would possibly be as with "Recent Activity" - effectively treating scrobbles as activity and controlling who can see them happen...

You've been away for too long. ;) You can do this now. http://www.last.fm/settings/inboxoptions -> "Hide real-time listening information". The feature isn't exactly perfect, but better than nothing for some people I guess.

    Or maybe you're being sarcastic.
