I do miss neighbours on the front of profile pages, and tag clouds on band pages.

As an artist struggling to get some plays of my original material, I mostly miss having the "About Me" at the top of the page. This is where I put the link to my music and now it's hidden half way down the page.
I am not going to listen to my own material all the time to keep it in the "Recently Listed" part. There is way too much music I'm checking out all the time.
Shouldn't people with an artist page have a more distinctive link at the top near the avatar?

Sigh

The 2 bits I looked at: My weekly stats and my weekly neighbours - why, why, why has it gone! I liked to see what everyone was playing and feel part of a little gang.

Why does everything take up more space/more clicks now, poor job, god knows what the beta testers were feeding back!

I'd also like the artist to be listed first in the recently played list like it was before, not the other way round. I know that is a very trivial complaint.

the old dashboard

I miss the old-dashboard which was such a great snapshot of what your friends and neighbours were listening to along with only the most *pertinent* stuff related to your own scrobbling and activity.

now it's just way too me-centric. and that's the last thing I use Last.fm for. I already know what I've been doing lately...

Widget for Hyves Networksite

Hi,
The old site worked fine with most things, don't know why they had to rearrange the site so it takes you ours to find things.

A new thing that would be nice is a widget for Hyes.net / Hyves.nl The general one is not working since the script is not allowed. There are 6 million users and growing so a potential of new users for Last.fm as well.

I agree. Songs should be a subset of an artist, not the other way round.

This is not the problem with the new version but something about the licensing, I think it was explained somewhere on the forum already.

BTW I still don't like the new vwersion though I must some good changes were implemented.

Overall I miss the easy overviews that the old version had. Hardly any scrollong, let alone having to go from one page to the other. AND weekly neghbours, it was fun to see them shift, and then suddenly old "friend" coming back. Last but not least, the 7 or 8 or so recommendations, with the free downloads sometimes.

I would like to see what my neighbours & friends are playing. Would be good to see on the homepage.

edit: I can see my friends now but i think that's only the last song they played.

- 'about me' section being smaller and located closer to the avatar
- neighbours at the main profile page
- dashboard - it was well designed visually when it came to checking what one's friends were listening to
- design in the terms of colours

That's about it. Off the top of my head.

Am I correct to defend the fist that holds this pen? It's ink that lies. The pen, the page, the paper...

I miss the image quilts in RLT but I do like the way the tracks are laid out now. Looks sharp and I don't want it changed. ;)

Streaming Albums

For some reason it only plays one song now in the flash player, and then stops when that song is complete... does this happen to everyone?

I loved being able to stream a whole album from the web page!!! :-(

I pretty much agree with the other user's frustrations... things seem cluttered to me.

The little artist quilts were a great way to save space and show lists in an elegant and objective way. They were already part of the last.fm identity as a site. Removing that was a big mistake.

Glad they brought "paint it black" back.
