Why would you waste precious memory card space on FLAC? A mobile phone hasn't nearly the voicing circuits capable of making a noticeable diffence (IMHO anyway)... Think mp3 insane vbr would be more than enough (yes, even using cooler earphones)... Not sure if that's complete rubbish though and the Nokia's have superb output quality...

Do you know if it is some application to deal with this?

Why would you ever ever ever ever put FLAC on a mobile. If anything, compress more. Check out OGG

I have a Nokia E71

When I try to connect to lastfm using mobbler it says "STR_mobbler_note_comms_error <connect>"

Anyone had this happen to them?

Today I started thinking, what if I Googled for 'Last.fm Symbian' to see if it was possible to scrobble songs played on my Nokia E51. Tried a few programs I found on the net, but Mobbler was the one I liked the most (I don't like the way the MyStrands player works, although it does scrobble the played songs :-) )

Now with Mobbler I can scrobble songs I played on my phone, or listen to Last.fm radio while travelling by train (via UMTS/HSDPA), or even while taking a shower or something :-D (over my own Wi-Fi internet connection)

I mean, how much cooler can it get!

Finally, my wait is over! This one really plays last.fm radio stations and doesn't just collect scrobbling data. Works ok on my N95.

hi guys i cant get mobbler to work on my 3g network it keeps coming up with 403 forbidden on my e71 but its fine when i try it on wifi!
any ideas?

They blocked streaming for 3rd party apps unless a) You are a paying Last.fm member and b) You live in the US or UK.

An updated version of Mobbler lets you still scrobble without being a paying member, but streaming requires a premium membership...

Yeah... sad, I have an E71 too and it stopped working. Still works on my wife's iPhone, but they have a business case there because the iPhone integrates with the iTunes store.
