Log says Couldn't determine song info (no current song) - check file is tagged. Song will not be submitted
    and no luck :-(
BTW, I'm trying with Radio Paradise 128k MP3 stream
    http://scfire-dtc-aa03.stream.aol.com:80/stream/1048

I can confirm that Radio Paradise stream wont work; it looks like their tags are really incorrect (my guess)

  • you dont need to scrobb a radio station because then you would just leave it on and let the numbers add up, also it would be hard to do cause the artist track would be in the same line.

that's true, but I guess if somebody really wanted to scrobble radio just to get a higher playcount they could just as well listen to last.fm radio 24/7, or let some of their songs play in an infinite loop...

I found a way to scrobble internet radio stations with winamp (possibly all players?)

    Install squeezecenter http://www.slimdevices.com

enable last.fm plugin in the squeezecenter config - set it up

enable last.fm plugin on your player in squeezecenter

play radio station through squeezecenter to winamp locally on the network or from a remote location

Tracks are now scrobbled on your last.fm profile.

Although this is a rather elaborate setup, it works and squeezecenter is a great program

  • Anyone know a workaround for this for iTunes in OS X?

I'm listening to sky.fm/di.fm (the paid stations), and the title tags are at least as good as those for my local MP3s.

I appreciate the suggestion, but... yuck. The sound quality from that is leaps and bounds worse than from iTunes.

It was still worth a shot!

    Scrobble internet radio with Winamp

    Hi there,

I just wrote a guide how to scrobble internet radio to Last.fm with Winamp, and published it in my journal. Click here:
Scrobble Internet Radio using Winamp and Audioscrobbler plugin

I'm using this technique since quite some time and it works very well.

Fantastic, works a treat. Although it's annoying on the occasional tracks that are 6-7mins long but it just means a bit of a pause until it is downloaded.

I still think that the AS plugin or Last.fm player can parse the details from the stream data (i.e. esp. in Winamp) but this is the best workaround so far.

Crap! I thought I was the only one that did that. )= Well, I didn't have it get added to the playlist. I didn't really know that streamripper can add it to the playlist so I don't have to leave ctrl+o opened and drag the newest songs added to the playlist. Haha. Thanks for that!

  • at the very least I'd like lastfm to just show that for X amount of time I listened to KEXP.org streaming radio... even if it doesn't tag each individual song, it would still show some information on my listening habits.

I seem to be a bit late to the party, but thanks for this information - I just updated the component and it works a treat! Gotta love foobar2000. =)

    How about live365.com radios?
All their tags are correct, I think it could be easy
