    Brackets in song name?!

    Okay, this has been bugging me for quite some time now, so - can anyone pls explain why Last.fm doesn't list (Sic) and (515)? When i play them i see in the plugin's log that they have been sent to the server, but i've never seen them in mine, or anyone else's chart. Most people would just rename the tag to [SIC] or something like that.

    This is annoying me because (SIC) is one of the songs i listen to a lot. :)

    Because some people decided that it looked pretty to tag all their tracks in brackets. If your tracks are tagged with MusicBrainz, they will shortly be accepted regardless of the brackets.

    Thanks a lot.

  • Umm.. same problem here. BUT i have tagged them with MusicBrainz.

    Some tracks you submitted have not been added to your profile for the following reason:
    The track you submitted appears to be badly tagged - please check the file's tags.

    So i can't submit for example: (BUB) - (BUB) - Pseudotango

    I guess the answer to your problem is that that hasn't happened quite yet :P

  • "shortly" is very... indeterminate time-slot :P
    ... or shortly == soon == not-yet-implemented-in-system?

    it means, the admins know about this problem so theyre working on it, along with a zillion other problems of sorts, and that you can wait patiently knowing happily that they took in your comments.

    Shortly is not a definitive item of time, it's all relative, and believe you me, those devs work their asses off for us, sometimes even into crazy hours of the morning ironing out other problems ;)

    So, "shortly", it's all comparatively speaking...

  • Ok. I didn't make myself clear before.
    Problem was.. if song submits or they'll repair system shortly.
    Thanks for reply.

    (And audioscrobbler is much more stable than.. about year, two or almost three years ago.)
