Could you try and clearing your cache under Tools in your browser, restart the browser and head back to the site.

  • I tried, but its still doing that

  • I have the same problem at work.
XP with SP3. I tried the following (with no result):
    • Clear cache
    • re-install of FF3 (including manual delete of all mozilla/firefox-folders/files and registry-entries)
    • re-install of JRE1.6.0.07
    • re-install of my complete PC (it was a slow day ;))

Interresting note: I have always had problems at work voting, changing over to "paint it black", opening the drop-down menus and shouting. These functions do not work in IE6, IE7 or IE8 either. I have no troubles streaming, either in page (as long as it is in IE, or in client.
When looking at the page as shown above, I can view the source of the page and see the WHOLE page available.

  • So did you eventually solved it? or i'm screwed

  • None of the actions taken solved it.

I know that at work I am behind a proxy and a firewall. Do you encounter this at home, with a direct connection, or is there a (corporate) firewall and/or a proxy inbetween your PC and teh net?

You have Adblock Plus... Have you tried to disable it? Or any other extension?

    Ceballut
  • Trust me, it ain't adblock plus or any other extension... a clean install of Firefox on a fresh and up to date PC showed the same page for me.

  • Well There is a router if that is what you mean...but I'm on last.fm for more than a year; why would it suddenly happen now?

  • seems to me an ActiveX/javascript problem or something.

and the pc from the first post is not up-to-date. there sitll some windows updates not installed (but that wouldn't mean anything because my last Windows update would be somewhere in 2006)

so how do I active the ActiveX/javascript or fix it?

  • Like said, I have this issue at work and found out today that our firewall (eSafe) sees the following in the page document.write(unescape.
As far as I know that is a piece of javascript that is seen by our firewall as a possible virus/malware, and thus forbidden.

It might be that your firewall is doing the same. Make an exception for Last.fm, perhaps that helps.

Hi, I've got the same problem. If it is eSafe related, why are my other browser not affected by this? Any clues for a workaround?

  • IE has a tendency to ignore more faults. Do you use any other browsers?
As far as I know, staff is looking into this at the moment.

So far I've tried reproducing it on IE7, Opera & Safari. But still only the fox has this issue. For now I'll stick with the latter of the three.

  • I have the same problem and I don't know what to do
It is annoying to use IETab everytime I enter last.fm
    Pls help us :(

  • It is fine for me on FF 3.0.1 on Windows XP SP2. Might this be an SP3 issue?

Trying is the first step towards failure.
  • Using FF 3.0.1 on XP Service Pack 3. No problems.

It's fine on newest Firefox and Windows XP with Service Pack 3. There has to be somthing with your browser.

  • It's still doesn't seem to work and nothing done yet
    I'm disappointed :(

  • Like said, I have been testing this all the way through a new installation, that means that I tried before the installation of SP3 as well.

I am kicking this thread again, since I still have this problem too.
I will ask staff again about this as well today...
