Plenty were the options around Helsinki for spending New Year's Eve at a concert. The one with the most appealing line-up took place at Nosturi under the name "Uudenvuoden Nahkamiekka". The line-up consisted mostly of folk metal bands, but not only. This was a two nights event so good endurance was to be demanded in case both nights were to be attended. I believe the weather got really cold and chilly exactly on same night as the event took place, so waiting in the endless queue wasn't exactly enjoyable - but expected anyway. The Nosturi had nearly full house that night, at least as far as the lower floor of the venue is concerned. Still I was able to find a good spot where to watch from the first band of the last evening of the year, which also happened to be the band I've followed more closely and for longer these years: Korpiklaani. Once again, I found their placement on that night's line-up quite odd since one can honestly say that Korpiklaani…
