Thu 12 Jul – Arvikafestivalen 2007
Arvika 2007, min första festival. Jag älskade det. Jag älskade människorna - både de jag åkte med och de jag träffade där. Jag älskade stämningen - alla chillade liksom, inget bråk eller sånt. Jag älskade friheten - ingen brydde sig om nånting, man bara existerade. Jag älskade musiken - bland andra Bloc Party, I Am X, Infected Mushroom, Slagsmålsklubben, Familjen, Shout Out Louds och höjdaren Patrick Wolf! Behöver jag säga något mer?

Patrick Wolf is off to Iraq

Looks like the Patrick Wolf will go to Baghdad, Iraq, for a collaboration for his next album. It has been mentioned before, and in a recent interview I did with him at Arvikafestivalen for Judy.se he says:

– I'm thinking about the next record, I think i might be going to Iraq, to play with an Iraqi symphonic orchestra.

– That is a major collaboration for the next album.

That you plan on doing now?
– Yes, bullet proof west and everything.

Really great, despite sickness

Thu 12 Jul -> Sat 14 Jul – Arvikafestivalen 2007

First of all, I thought of this like it was gonna be a complete mess. Had set up with myself going up with a buddy on tuesday, but hell no. we became sick both of us, so we didn't get up until thursday afternoon. Fuck, I thought to myself, now we're definately out of good places.
Couldn't have been more wrong. We got a place at the smaller campsite, just beside the waterhole and the couple of outdoor toilets (and yeah, that didn't sound too good, but the smell just didn't go our way, so we survived without any odor problematics) where everyone seemed to pass once in a while. So, our setup with the batteryloaded cd-player became something for everyone who wanted to dispose of something ^^
Anyway, on to the music.
It should be said that I mostly see this kinda festival as a Synth-kind, but hey... Getting metal for the same price I don't mind at all.

Thu 12 Jul – Arvikafestivalen 2007
Det var min första festival. Jag var pepp som fan, två liter sprit i bagaget och med alla förutsättningar att misslyckas på alla fronter. Festivalen skulle bli som en enda lång låt med Las Palmas, dekadensen skulle tränga igenom varje tanke och handling.

Det började ganska bra. Man såg många extremt schletna människor och vädret var rätt schysst. Vi hamnade bredvid två trevliga stereotypa norrlandsfeminister och ett läger fullt med äckliga bitpopare - inte av den bra sorten (typ Slagsmålsklubben, som jag för övrigt missade) utan av någon helt sinnessjuk urspårstyp med färgslingade dreads och någon form av rabiat mördar-bitpop med tyska marschliknande drag.

Skit samma. Vi flyttade därifrån i alla fall, och det visade sig vara ganska smart med tanke på hur platsen såg ut sista dagen.

Till slut kom regnet. Uppgivenheten började tränga på, och jag med vänner började sakta men säkert inse att man inte längre söp för att det var roligt - man söp för att stå ut med skiten. …

Zyclon-E upcomming plans...

After a few weekends in the studio we have compiled some new material and written a few new song, one of them a collaboration with the cyberterrorist Kenji Siratori whose acidic text Insane Asylum became the background on which we based a song.
We are currently planning a release of a upcomming cd to the time of the swedish festival Arvika Festivalen that takes place 12-14 july in, surprise, Arvika.

Track 15 000: Pass This On

Today i reached 15 000 plays srobbled. Ever since i discovered Last.fm (Aerandir was the one he told me about the site, THANKS!) my interest and knowledge in music has been growing faster then ever, much thanks to Last.fm. During the last couple of months many of my friends has joined the site, my obsessive behavior about this site has been growing at an alarming speed. I am now visiting Last.fm probably about 30 times per day. I check my Shoutbox, look at my recent plays and top artist, write something in the Netto or write something angry in a spammers shoutbox. Sometimes i even do this without thinking or even knowing that I'm doing it. Seriously.
It's obvious to me that I am now officially a Last.Fm addict. But hey, it's a great site, so who the fuck cares. If you think about it, I think I do care. Think of all the more funny things i could do instead of writing this fucking journal. But then again, think about all the good music I've found using last.fm. I guess it pretty much evens it out.
