    Sunday Night Hooliganism

I was appalled with how these hooligans went about with their behaviour. Setting fires is not so bad if you ask me, we set a little fire but when you set a big fire, throwing aerosols in them and putting people's lives at risks is way out of hand, burning other people's tents whom they have paid for is just wrong. These hooligans should be banned from festivals.

What else I saw were a group of people writhing the long wooden posts out of the ground, this was beyond stupidity, I didn't see them fall over but when I came back to my tent two were out of the ground and I hope to God they did not land on anyone because if one of them were to land on someone I'd say they would have a slim chance of coming out alive. When they came over to our tent I completely lost it and threw a bottle of vodka at them and told them to fuck off.

Also what I saw was full of cans of beer and many other things being thrown accross the site, it might be a good laugh but when someone dies from an injury you will be sorry. Bands will cancel because of people's idiotic behaviour, I know we're all at a festival and we obviously wanna have a good time and go a bit crazy, but is this idiotic behaviour really necessary?

These idiots are ruining the thing we spend a lot of money and wait for annualy for. What are you opinions on this subject?

  • well said man. like you said, having a good time and a laugh is important, but these pricks will have stopped a lot of people wanting to go back.a friend of mine was in orange, said that a fire spread to a tent that had 2 girls inside it sleeping. utter twats, shows that they dont go for the music but for an excuse to have a piss up and cause damage

*Are your eyes showing off for mine?*
  • yeah i agree, so many idiots go to leeds now, i thought last year was bad but seems to be so many more chavs and topshop girls, wish radio 1 and nme would stop telling people its cool to go to festivals. go for the music, whats the point in spending 180 quid on a ticket when you hardly know any bands. pretty bored of leeds now, thining of rock am next year or download. unless leeds pulls out an amazing lineup its safe to say i wont be there for the whole weekend.

Okay I'll just let them drop a really heavy pole of wood on top of me and my friends and have the tents we paid for ruined. We had to sort them out somehow.

  • The vibe changed noticeably from about Sunday midday onward. Luckily we were camped in a quiet/safe area in green with good people around us. But we did not get a lot of sleep on Sunday night as we were worried about our tent/belongings. I was feeling very glad that my boyfriend is enormous/scary.

The behaviour of the tent burners on Sunday night was absolute BS and should have been stopped.

  • even in brown we were camped next to some guys who had a go at us for something as trivial as a football rolling past one of their tents, just seems the vibe of the festival has changed loads in the past few years :/ music seems to be the last thing on a lot of peoples mind, more focused on getting pissed and trashing shit. security sucks and always will
