The Wave-Gotik Treffen (WGT) is the world’s largest festival for “dark culture” held each spring in Leipzig, Germany. 150+ bands and artists from various backgrounds (Goth, EBM, Industrial, Futurepop, Darkwave, Neofolk, Neoclassical, Noise, Medieval Music, Experimental, Coldwave, etc.) play at several venues throughout the city.

Das Wave-Gotik-Treffen (Abk.: WGT) ist ein Musikfestival, das jährlich an Pfingsten in Leipzig stattfindet. Mit derzeit mehr als 20.000 Besuchern ist es eine der größten Veranstaltungen der Schwarzen Szene. Während der vier Tage des Festivals werden dem Besucher – neben Konzerten der unterschiedlichen Stilrichtungen – auch ein vielfältiges kulturelles Rahmenangebot geboten. Dazu gehören spezielle Filmvorführungen, Club-Partys, Autorenlesungen unheimlicher und romantischer Literatur, Ausstellungen in Museen und Galerien, Live-Rollenspiel, Kirchenkonzerte, Mittelaltermärkte und Workshops zu verschiedenen Themen. Die Besucher übernachten in verschiedenen Hotels oder nutzen die Campingmöglichkeiten des AGRA-Zeltplatzes.

    also erstmal danke für das diesjährige #WGT! ist schon erstaunlich wie man so vielschichtiges an musik und leuten unter einen hut bringt...wahnsinn...und hut ab. Ich liebe diese "bunte" Vielfalt diesen mix von Subkultur...sowas zeugt eigentlich von offenheit. wenn ich da manche engstirnigen leute höre von wegen true...was soll das denn sein? das leben ist true und wenn mir meine szene nicht mehr passt dann wird es zeit eine andere Korsage anzulegen oder sie gleich abzulegen, denn dann bin ich schlicht weg zu spießig geworden.

    @Mr_Gosh: Es tut mir schrecklich leid, dass ich nicht true genug für dich bin. War auch ne blöde idee von mir auf nen Festival zu gehen um gute Musik zu hören und Spaß zu haben. Das nächste mal komm ich nur um meine Trueness unter Beweis zu stellen....
