Roots-reggae veteran Prince Alla (rođen 1950. u Kingstonu) u mladosti je bio sljedbenik rastafarijanskog propovjednika Princea Emmanuela Edwardsa. Pjevačku karijeru započeo je 1968. u vokalnoj grupi Leaders, a do kraja 70-ih snimao je najviše za label “Freedom Sounds” i producenta Tappa Zukieja. Roots-reggae veteran Prince Alla (born in 1950, Kingston) was devoted to rastafarian preacher Prince Emmanuel Edwards. He started his singing career in 1968. in vocal band Leaders and by the end of 70-ties he recorded mostly for the label “Freedom Sounds” with the producer Tappo Zukie.

VIBRONICS (uk)

Steve Vibronics počeo je eksperimentirati dub zvukovima inspiriran Aba-Shanti-I Sound System-om i mogućnostima digitalne produkcije glazbe. Tako je tijekom 1995.god. u studiju sa osnovnom opremom - 16 kanalni mixer, reverb, delay, par sintisajzera i jedan Atari kompjuter - počeo mixati glazbu na kazetu. Ta ista kazeta dospjela je do Aba-Shanti-I-ja.1996 god. Vibronics započinju suradnju sa Zion Trainom te labelom “Universal Egg” za koji i danas izdaju svoje materijale…

It was the joint discovery of the Aba-Shanti-I Sound System and digitally sequenced music which first inspired Steve Vibronics to try his hand at building dub tunes. A minimal studio was put together at home during 1995 using the most basic of equipment - a dilapidated 16 track mixer, reverb and echo units, a couple of synths and a an Atari computer - all mixed - all mixed down onto cassette tape. One such tape was given to Aba-Shanti-I after one of his legendary sessions at the Arches in Vauxhall, London…

Pitch Black are award winning multimedia artist Michael Hodgson and Salmonella Dub producer Paddy Free.
Having pumped their way through New Zealand’s electronic music scene since their inaugural performance at the annual Gathering New Year’s eve festival in 1997, they have spent the last eleven years rousing dance floor punters, generating rave reviews, winning awards and gaining thousands of fans across the world.Hard to box into a single audio ‘genre’, Pitch Black is a combination of musical journeys. Their sound is distinctive; ranging from organic ambient beginnings and layered soundscapes
to skanking keyboards, cutting acid riffs and thumping rhythmic grooves, with dub being the glue that holds their sound together. One critic has described them as like “Orbital meets King Tubby, or Rhythm and Sound in Technicolor”.

Pitch Black je duo u kojem glavne uloge imaju nagradjivani umjetnik Michael Hodgson, koji se bavi multimedijom te producent Salmonella Dub Paddy Free. Njihov put prema slavi na novozelandskoj elektronskoj sceni počinje 1997 na proslavi Novogodišnje noći. Posljednjih jedanaest godina konstantno pune plesne podije, pišu glazbene recenzije elektronske glazbe te tako postaju priznati umjetnici kako medju glazbenim stručnjacima tako i medju svojim obožavateljima diljem svijeta.Njihovu glazbu teško je
smjestiti u samo jedan žanr glazbe, Pitch Black je kombinacija glazbenih putovanja. “Sopot” je zamišljen kao autorski muzički projekat, umjetnika Petra Topalovića koji će kroz saradnju sa lokalnim i inostranim muzičarima (umjetnicima) stvoriti fuziju balkanske umjetnosti sa modernom tehnologijom kroz muzički izražaj.Autor projekta “Sopot” je kroz veliko muzičko i životno iskustvo, stečeno kroz sviranje i učestvovanje u mnoštvo različitih muzičkih projekata, stvorio svoj vlastiti, originalni stil i pristup muzici i životu na Balkanskom poluostrvu.
Album dUBaLKAN je sniman i produciran u studiju “Jarring Effects” u Lionu, Francuska (u istom studiju gdje snimaju High Tone, Le Peuple De L`Herbe i dr.), aprila 2006. godine. U njegovo stvaranje, pored lokalnih, uključili su se i inostrani muzičari poput L’oeuf Raide, Uzul Prod, R-ZATZ, Niko Matagrin, što čitavom albumu daje jednu dozu multikulturalnosti.

“Sopot” is musical project of Petar Topalović in colaboration
with local and foreign artists. Their goal is to create fusion
of balkan art and modern technologies through language of music. Petar Topalović (the author of project “Sopot”) has great music experience gained through playing music and participating in many different music projects so he created the music style of his own and the specific approuch in music and in life on Balkan peninsula.The album “duBaLKAN” is recorded and produced in studio “Jarring Effects” in Lion (France) at the same studio in which recorded High Tone, Le Peuple De L’Herbe etc. (april
2006). Many local and foreign artists played their important roll on this album such as L’oeuf Raide, Uzul Prod, R-ZATZ and Niko Matagrin that makes this album multicultural.

DUBZILLA (Slo)

Dubzilla je underground bend/kolektiv iz Novog Mesta, koji je započeo s radom listopada 2006. godine. Od tada je broj članova rastao i u roku od godinu dana band je narastao u četveročlanu skupinu. Bendu se pridružio tonski tehničar i “stagehead” te je tako Dubzilla postajala sve
moćnija. Njihova glazba je spoj reggae-a, dub-a i alternative (Podgurski dub!), te uzrokuje moćne vibracije i ruši sve pred sobom.

DUBZILLA (slo)

Dubzilla are underground band/collective from Novo Mesto (Slovenia). They strated their work in october 2006 and as the time passed by their collective grew so now Dubzilla has four band members. Dubzilla has become more powerful when sound technician and “stagehead” joined the band. Their music is fusion of reggae, dub and alternative (Podgurski dub!) which causes mighty vibrations and makes people go wild.

EDO MAAJKA (hr)

Edo Maajka (born as Edin Osmić on December 22, 1978 in Brčko, Bosnia and Herzegovina) is a rapper from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Edin’s stage name “Edo Maajka” means “Edo the Mother”.
Edo Maajka often raps about the contemporary political situation and the consequences of the Yugoslav wars, representing the Bosnian point of view, but also about the problems of the three main ethnic groups in Bosnia.His lyrics are not limited to politics - he often raps about youth issues like in “Saletova Osveta”, the state of pop music (“Kliše”), bad rapping (“Slušaj mater”) and others. Some of the songs have positive messages, such as the title track from his album “No Sikiriki”.

Bend ST!llness nastao je 2005.god. nakon što je mladi splitski MC Yuri zamijenio matricu bendom i time napravio veliki iskorak u karijeri. Osnova zvuka je hip hop vokal kojeg upotpunjuje odličan bend kombinirajući rock, raggae, funk, drum`n`bass i ostale stilove uz dinamičnu i energičnu svirku.
Pjesme su na hrvatskom jeziku i gotovo je cijeli nastup autorski rad.

Multiregional band Stillnes gathered 2005 in Zagreb. The basic sound of the band is hip hop vocal which is completed with extremely talented musicians that combine various sounds from rock, raggae, funk, drum n bass etc. Their music is extremely dynamic and one can expect the unexpected! They played all over Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Srbia, Slovenia and in every place they were well accepted by the audience and the critics.
Their first album called “Sve što znam o životu je… odabrao Đelo Hadžiselimović” was released for the label Menart Records in July 2007. The album is well accepted by the audience and the critics so maybe this is the reason why they have been nominated on “Porin” (Croatian music awards) in the category The best alternative rock album.

RED FIVE POINT STAR (slo)

Almost ten years have passed, since now finest Slovenian ska/swing/punk band started as a punk trio. Hailing from the industrial city Trbovlje which inspired even the Slovenian worldwide famous band Laibach, Red Five Point Star managed to blend the punk attitude into the great mixture of ska, swing rockabilly, jazz and rock ‘n’ roll tunes that define their so called “dirty ska” sound.

Red five point star počeli su kao punk trio da bi nakon dest godina prerasli u jedan od najboljih slovenskih ska/snjing/punk bendova. Tijekom tih deset godina u svom glazbenom izričaju zadržali su punk stav koji upotpunjuju s odličnom mješavinom ska, swing rockabilly, jazz i rock ‘n’ roll melodijama koje definiraju njihov “prljavi ska” stil.
2005.god. izdali su prvi album “In color”. Nastupali su u raznim klubovima i na raznim festivalima u Sloveniji, Hrvatskoj, Francuskoj, Češkoj, Italiji, Austriji, Bosni i Srbiji s poznatim bendovima kao što su The Toasters, New York Ska-Jazz Ensemble, Fishbone, Ozomatli, Royal Crown Revue itd.
Krajem 2007.god. izdali su drugi album “Stepping Out” od kojeg nakon prvog rasprodanog albuma “In color” možemo mnogo očekivati.
Red five piont star su bend koji svojom svirkom uživo nikog neće ostaviti ravnodušnim.

TOBOGAN (hr)

Tobogan se sagradio početkom 2007. godine, sa sasvim jedinstvenom idejom: svirati elektronsku muziku uživo na instrumentima. Sve je započelo na laptopu i klavijaturama Janka Novoselića, no s vremenom, Tobogan je narastao i danas broji pet članova.
Osim silnih značenja riječi „tobogan“ i akrobacija na koje pritom pomišljamo, „tobogan“ je za njih i glazbena avantura koja je neizbježna tokom nastupa. Sve se odvija uživo, zvukovi bubnjeva, gitara, sinteva, prepušteni su raznim efektima uz puno interakcije ton-majstora i cijelog benda koji sa toliko umijeća njima manipuliraju. Kompozicije su skoro u potpunosti improvizirane što svaki nastup čini jedinstvenim, a baziraju se na pulsirajućim ritmovima elktronske glazbe poput drum’n’bassa, junglea, breakbeata, duba,…
Postavu Tobogana čine:

Jer kako kaže legendarni jazz bubnjar Art Blakey jednom je rekao: ‘Glazba bi publiku trebala odvući od svakodnevice, isprati prašinu koja se skupila…to je ono što bi glazba trebala raditi.’

TOBOGAN (hr)

Tobogan started in 2007 with the unique idea: to play electronic music live on instruments!
It all began on Janko’s Novoselic laptop and keyboards but in time Tobogan grew and now has five band memebers.
The word “tobogan” has many meanings but for the band it represents music adventure which is inevitable during their show. All the music that Tobogan creates is very much live; the sounds of drums, guitar, keyboard, bass are influenced by sound effects whith graet interaction of sound technician. These sound effects are again manipulated with great music knowledge of the band members. What makes the music of Tobogan unique is improvisation. The compositions are based on vibrating rhythms of electronic music like drum’n bass, jungle, braekbeat, dub etc.

They often cooperate with other musicians so one can expect lots of suprise guests (vocals,instrumental) that will make their show more spicey and unforgettable.
Legendary jazz drum player Art Blakey once said: “The music should make people to forget everyday life, wash the dust in their minds…that what music is made for.”

Manig is open drum n bass project active since year 2000.Base of our music is moment,this is why i cant label it. Every time we are different,dependz where and with who we play.Till now we did sesion-concerts in places like:theater,circus,trance partyz,punk club,clubs and bla,bla. .For now we only have one studio work album(Dekomponizator),and lotz of live momentz on tape.

Manig je drum’n’bass projekt koji je aktivan od 2000.god. Osnovna baza njihove glazbe je trenutak te bas iz tog razloga se glazba koju stvaraju ne može svrstati u jedan stil. Svaki nastup je različit što u mnogočemu ovisi od toga gdje i s kim sviraju. Do sada su svirali na različitim mjestima kao što su kazalište, cirkus, trance party-ima, punk klubovima, klubovima itd. Samostalno su snimili album “Dekomponizator” i mnogo live nastupa.
