    Saturday -- Wallpaper, LCD Soundsystem, Miike Snow, Holy Fuck, Four Tet, Phantogram. Sunday -- The National, Surfer Blood, Ra Ra Riot, Belle and Sebastian, She and Him. There is my best five from each day. Kinda bullshit about the umbrellas not allowed in on Sunday, but fuck it. And I got a driving ticket in the city on the way home. BUT FUCK IT, THIS WAS ALL WORTH IT.

    Btw, loved how great this festival was. LCD Soundsystem and !!! blew my fucking mind live, Monotonix and Die Antwoord were enormously entertaining and crazy, and B&S were an excellent, chill way to end the 2-day endeavor. I also enjoyed Holy Fuck, BSS and Superchunk (and surprisingly liked the National live). Deadmau5 was a cool performance, but it seemed a lot of people were there that day just to see him. Which, unfortunately, also brought a lot of self entitled raver assholes. Oh well, they did all leave once his set was done, which got me pretty up close to LCD.

  • Magictacosinus

    The Sea and Cake are one my favorites, so I finally saw them for the first time. Their set was beautiful (they even played two songs from the Biz), and yet, there was some interesting dissonance that resonated from their sound. Another thing I noticed about their live show is that if try to pay attention to each separate musician, your head will explode. Definitely hope they come back around for another tour, because their set was too short.
