TFF.Rudolstadt – Germany’s biggest folk, roots and world music festival – takes place annually on the first full July weekend. It lasts 3 days (or rather 55 hours with no break) and presents more than 60 bands on more than 20 stages. 2007 will be the 17th edition from 6th to 8th of july.

Next year’s festival will, besides musicians from all five
continents, present: a country focus on the USA, the
„magic concert” with master musicians on Keyboards, and
as dance of the year the Polonaise.

Further highlights include the German World Music Award RUTH, the children’s festival, the instrument centre, chill out night, various workshops, seminars and exhibitions and an extensive street music programme in the city of Rudolstadt.

Following the ‘tradition’ of the last four years, an extra concert
is planned again for Thursday, July 6th, in the courtyard of
Rudolstadt’s baroque Heidecksburg.

Das TFF.Rudolstadt – das größte Folk-Roots-Weltmusik-Festival Deutschlands - findet jährlich am ersten (vollständigen) Wochenende im Juli statt und dauert drei Tage. Vom 6.– 8. Juli 2007 geht es zum 17. Mal über die mehr als 20 Bühnen.

Neben Musikern von erneut allen fünf Kontinenten
gibt es diverse Programmspecials:

den Länderschwerpunkt: USA,
die Konzerte rund um das “magische Instrument”: die Gruppe der Tasteninstrumente
und den Tanz des Jahres: Polonaise.
Weitere Höhepunkte sind die Verleihung des Deutschen Weltmusikpreises “RUTH”, das TFF.Kinderfest, das Instrumentenbauzentrum, die saalgärten-After-Hour,
diverse Workshops, Diskussionen und Ausstellungen sowie ein umfangreiches Straßenmusikprogramm in den Altstadtgassen.

    joa, TFF ist wirklich ein Muß & diesmal gibts sogar Zydeco, einfach genial... Hätte mir nur etwas mehr davon gewünscht, es gibt ja so viele klasse Zydeco Bands... Uh, und kann mal einer den Dauerregen abstellen? ;-)
