Did you know that the North Sea Jazz Festival is the biggest jazz festival in the world? Just about every genre is represented there – from traditional New Orleans jazz, swing, bop and free jazz, to fusion, avant-garde jazz and electronic jazz. And it doesn’t stop at jazz; blues, gospel, funk, soul, hip hop, R&B, world beat and Latin enthusiasts have a great time as well. In short, the North Sea Jazz Festival is a multi-faceted event that attracts between 60,000 and 70,000 visitors each year, from countries all over the world.

    I went last friday, I've seen a lot of good perfomances most notable of Roberta Gamberini (what a voice!), Wende (what an energy!), José James (Good voice, bad stage too noisy) and Typhoon (what an energy and fun!). Norah Jones and Timucin Sahin seemed like they didn't like to perform or were to much busy with other things. Good festival overall.

    Wat is het toppunt van commercie? een half muntje moeten betalen voor een kartonnetje om je bier in te vervoeren....! Shame on you organisatie! 2,40 voor twee slokken bier en dan ook nog moeten betalen om het te vervoeren.. Maar goed, verder was het vrijdag fijn, veel goede muziek en blije mensen! mijn dag was weer goed! :)
