Lemonheads was the first gig that can be filed under summer 2007. Great songs, but the show was bit dull probably because 1) there wasn't much of show, just song after song without any other comments between songs than 'Thanks' 2) I wasn't familiar with any other songs than the ones from the It's Shame about Ray and 3) I was in a hurry to continue the binary darts game in the pub next door.
I was surprised of the lineup in Ruisrock this year, and once I heard Roky Erickson was coming, I booked my trip.
Highlights for Friday: Sweatmaster was great, nice to see that it was still as energetic as ever. Last time I saw them was too long time ago. One of the most unsual and unforgettable experiences was The Flaming Lips gig that crowned the evening. Not only do they have great songs, but the spectacle with aliens, giant balloons, everflowing confetti and giant screen behind the stage was quite impressive.
