To me, the show was much faster than last year's. I was surprised at how they decided to split the stages as I feel no Wu-Tang member should be on the second stage. I think it fitting to also mention that I almost lost my mind, and my earrings, when Busta and Spliff did their thing. Common, Nas, K'Naan, and Big Boi did their thing as well. Though, I don't want to see Big Boi again without Andre. I;ve never really been a big fan of Tech N9ne, but I do encourage folks to give his albums a listen.
Now, for the thing that really bothered me...
What was up with KRS? First, I expected to see him a whole lot more. I don't know, I just did. Second, what did he say, "The Obama Deception"? I believe places like RTB is as good a forum as any to speak your mind, but why would he say some mess like that knowing the majority of the crowd would be like "huh?". He sounded crazy like one of those racist white men who blog themselves into walking into a museum and killing a random person. …
