here is some facts about music festivals in turkey (you may skip it if you only wanna know how was the festival)
fact; young people under age of 26 is more than the half of turkey's population
fact; turks like music and entertainment so very much. in EU most clubs and bars close in reasonable hours, i guess the only country have the same sense in having fun is Spain (they also don't close until morning)
fact; istanbul have a population more over loads of countries in EU such
as
Sweden
Portugal
Switzerland
Austria
Norway
ireland
Netherlands
Finland.. check the music festivals of these countries and consider they're average age is mostly over 45
and now back to istanbul; you may have guessed we have a music festival for every weekend..
you might find this disturbing but, we only have 3 music festivals for the summer of 2009
1- Frestival Cmt 30 May – Freshtival can be considered as a mini festival
2- efes one love Cmt 20 Haz – Efes Pilsen One Love Festival 8
3 - rock & coke Cum 17 Tem – Rock'n Coke 2009
if i made my point clear (yes it is the lousy organization companies of turkey) i can write some stuff about one love?
----- efes one love review -----
thru the years efes bring so many bands that i'd like to see and it's kinda conford that i know every year the festival is gonna bring someone i love
like Super Furry Animals , Ian Brown, Morrissey, Idlewild, MOBY, Róisín Murphy, The Chemical Brothers
----- saturday night -----
before we get in my friend have been raped at the biletix booth
2day ticket for students was 45 and at the door biletix add more than %10 extra and took 50tL, thank good we bought for 30tL, or else biletix would rape us too
anywho, we were kinda late for M83 and although they have no connection with the audience whatsoever we made us had more fun than that weird Tricky guy, well i remember tricky with a super charisma and cool but it turns out he is the fella who make awkward dances and not really understandable lyrics, yes trick was boring as hell and although we don't wanna loose our place second row in the middle, we left to eat something but believe me we wait more than 4-5songs
and i have to mention the food at the festival was overpriced and taste so close to crap! worst meatloaf i ever ever had and the smallest one for the highest price
oh and the drinks? 15tL for votka that i can't sense out of alcohol orange juice and thats mostly because they only put a couple of drops? (ok so they don't like us to end up to be an alcoholic? but not now! i'm gonna mention starsailor later)
and beer? even worse, it taste like they flavored efes with onion and meat,
back to stage it was time for klaxons, we were in the second row again
the setlist was obvious since they have only one album, but why not forgotten works? i love that song,
yes they play whole album and couple of new songs but not "moonshadow" or "valley of calm trees"
their outfit was cool as i expected, the other review talk about 'em enough,

early end for a saturday night eh? coulda shoulda woulda be a longer setlist
----- sunday afternoon ----
i was there at 19:20, just 10mins before the main act, i get the second row just like yesterday, and there is no giant dudes so we can see the stage easily ( i even make a joke about how short the girls infront of us and how we thank them for being short so we can see james)

james was adorable, and smiling most of the time, he even try to talk turkish, said merhaba and some stuff
most of the songs was sing-along, just a bummer was neon-sky, i'd prefer another brand-new song from all the plans
after Keep Us Together when i realize they're not gonna play In The Crossfire i shout and ask for the song, then they play 4 2 the floor and i shout again and some girls at the back hear me and they also shout and ask for in the crossfire and james turn to the band and said something then he came to the mic and said we're not gonna play this song but since you asked for it, he played the first half of in the crossfire just because i asked him for, probably one of the happiest moments of the festival

here's setlist which took a photo on notebook and now it's on my wall under the james's poster
we go for a quick pee session before röprsoop, but as you guess there is a crazy line on the toliets, when did they learn how much toilets must be set for thousand of people whom constantly drink beer?
yes organizers fail about toliets just like food&dirnks
back to stage again,
i always think of Röyksopp as an average electronic band who made albums every 4years and half the album is good other half is ok
that day i understand torb and svein brothers are more than that
i am amazed by the way they used synths,
noises they make is so very moving and entertaining, it's like a child who don't know how to use a synth but playing with it and making suprisingly beautiful sounds
a must see-live electronic band of our times

i was about to shout for only this moment (which was my ringtone for sometime) then i don't know how but they start to play it , don't have to shout this time =P
although they din't play my fav song "a glorious day with you" still the set was good enough
sound system?
no it's not that much
anne-li?
her voice was not strong as it sound on CD
one costume was cool though
