LiquidSoulshine Did anyone recognize the song that was played right before they came onstage? Really loud guitar line, kind of psych sounding song. Trying to figure it out.

amdusky sung tongs is my favorite album. i had feels, sung tongs and here comes the indian since 2007 and never got any of their other albums until after i bought tickets to the show. sung tongs is my favorite and i'm glad they played leaf house and who could win a rabbit. probably my two favorite songs by them.

MichaelT85 i've seen them three times, but can't truly consider myself an old fan. i didn't get into Feels upon my initial listen, and it took Person Pitch in early 2007 to force me to revisit and learn to love Animal Collective. fortunately, they released two of my favorite albums of their career that year, also: Person Pitch and Strawberry Jam. Feels is still not a true favorite, especially since I hate "Daffy Duck", but Sung Tongs and Here Comes the Indian are terrific. anyway, i doubt anyone is still reading this event page.

M-agic8Ball I felt kind of weird at the concert because I'm one of those newer fans. But I've got most of their studio albums, plus one of their EPs and a bunch of bootleg stuff and liked them before Merriweather came out. Hm.

badkharmala yeah, what *was* that guy screaming about from the balcony? as for the crowd, i was actually pretty content. i missed most of Grouper's set and decided to get some drinks to make the time go by. rude or not, i thought her set just dragggedddd onnnnn. i didn't think she was a good fit for AC's MPP tour...honestly i wasn't expecting much and wish there was no opener. but really, MPP is pretty damn poppy and you can't expect 95% of the crowd to not want to be antsy and shake their BACKSIDES. my friend went to the Milwaukee show the night after and i'm kind of jealous of their set compared to ours, but i'm just biased toward everything post-sung tongs. thanks for the setlist @glasserp, i could have sworn i heard some People in there somewhere, but i had been drinking afterall...
