bloc47 Wonderful gig. He was on top form in terms of his vocals, and was well and happy. Great performance.

s_libretto erm, right on a music level it was bad. The band itself were hardly tight and they butchered This Charming Man to begin with. Morrissey's voice was actually ok but you could tell he was straining. The band tried to cover for him by going up to the front and with bass solos etc. but it just wasn't worth it. Besides he played for what ... an hour and only had one song on his encore. Third time i've seen him and it'll be the last, though i will give him the "doctor told me not to smile, i said i never do" line.

LadyPatience Seriously? I thought it was lovely. What makes you say disasterous? I thought he was on form. In fact very humourous, and personable. It may not have been his finest vocal hour, but it was far from bad/disasterous. I may be biased as I waited over a decade for Why DOn't You FInd Out For Yourself, and finally got it. I came away with an even stronger fondness for hinm than ever before. I know that sounds weird, but it was a Morrissey concert. What was I expecting? I've seen him enough times (lost count) to have seen him perform almost all the songs I could ever want, but it is the whole experience, and not just the music. It won't go down as the best concert of his I have been to musically, but it may well go down as the one in which I loved him the most.
