FearHeldDear Holy shit. Everything about this show was incredible. Every band was really good. I loved Mischief Brew. I was glad to see Parasytic again, I've seen them a couple of times in Cleveland (including in the basement of a bar where I was one of only 8 or 9 people watching and they still played their asses off). I snagged a spot right at the front when Lost Cause started and didn't leave 'til the show was over, and I'm glad I did. Amebix was so god damn good. I just wish I could've have stuck around in Philly longer, we left right after the show.

tinnitustimulus glad me and my roommate weren't the only ones that hated mischief brew. parasytic reminded me of thrash i used to listen to in high school, and kylesa was pretty good. you can't really compare anything to amebix though, fuck.

rx78 I got to see Subhumans a couple of years ago and Amebix definitely topped it. They had this raw energy I haven't felt before in punk show. Behind Enemy Lines was also a good act...but I thought they would be better live.

deepfriedbrain also fucking everyone knew the lyrics... I love shows where you can hear the crowd chanting along... a bunch of people in my general age group that thought they were born too late to see Amebix live eagerly singing along to every word... you could tell the band was really feeding off the crowd's enthusiasm... one of the best show's I've been too definitely. Especially in this genre, which is usually always plagued with bad sound at shows.

great fucking show... Amebix sounded great... it was a little crowded towards the end... but I had a good time... Kylesa was great, I hadn't heard much of their stuff so I was pleasantly surprised... Mischief Brew sucked (like always! :P)... I really liked the first band I saw: Behind Enemy Lines... unfortunately I missed the first two acts because I was in my car getting high XD One thing that pissed me off at the show... so many people coming out of the woodwork repping anarchism and left-wing politics on their clothing... but when shit goes down in Philly (police brutality, nazis organizing, etc) they're nowhere to be found... I guess it's easier to sing about revolution rather than act on it... but I sound like a bitter old man... I had a good time, even ran into an old teacher from high-school who had bailed on a model U.N. class trip to see the show... the unofficial after party at Tattooed Mom's was also chill... Gianna's was closed tho :(

I'll be driving from Cleveland for MDF, too. And Fear's playing in Baltimore a couple of weeks before MDF, so I'll be making a couple of trips out that way in May. And this is fucking Amebix, no way am I ever gonna miss this.

The fact this Troc place sucks so bad makes me feel a little better about the fact I'm 99% sure I won't be attending now. Our ride bailed on us, and 2 of my bands have shows we need to rehearse for. Shame, I really wanted to attend this. =(

Checked the thing- the 5 o'clock is for the Starlight, which is the first venue that got moved. 3 is the correct time.

The terrible acoustics could be a pain in the ass, but bouncers could be a pain in the ass. No smoking indoors I like personally, otherwise it gets real nasty.

sspincycle I. personally, enjoyed LoC every time they played the troc. Sometimes lost shoes and battle wounds make really great memories. Annnd, for big shows like that, the crowd surfing and stage diving can't really be stopped.

MikeVeeeeee terrible acoustics, clear channel, fuckhead bouncers, no stage diving, no crowd surfing, no smoking, packed as fuck and never enjoyable. i don't think i've ever enjoyed a show there, not once. and i've put up with seeing LoC there twice only to be sorely disappointed.

It's on Arch street, on the block next to the Chinatown entrance arch thing. Shitty that it moved; I hate the Troc. At least there will be less of a chance for it to sell out. It starts at 3PM now too.
