Sometimes I ask to myself "Why, God, these so cool things happen so far away from me?". I wish I was an Icelander in Reykjavík just to see this show. Björk and Sigur Rós together in a FREE show is like a dream.

Perfect end to an amazing stay in Iceland; although it did provide the excuse for going in the first place. Takk!

Chatted to Georg Holm in the departure lounge at Keflavik on Sunday morning - what a thoroughly lovely bloke. Signed my copy of the new album, too.

Amazing. Stunning. Gig of a lifetime. An unforgettable weekend - just wonderful to be in the park with so many beautiful people in such beautiful weather. Folks - don't forget it's not just about the music. Investigate www.savingiceland.org

Blommusik: The song Björk played over the footage was called Vökuró from Medúlla, I only know as I was beside the sound guy and saw the play list ;) Otherwise I'm terrible at names.

I'm watching it right now by stream. Great stuff. Does anyone have any idea what that Björk song is that they are playing while the footage of the smelter and stuff is shown? Thanks in advance. :D

Is anyone else having problems with watching it online at the national geographic website? Or is it just running late?

The concert will be webcast live from Nat Geo Music website, they say 7pm-10pm GMT http://worldmusic.nationalgeographic.com/worldmusic/view/page.basic/article/content.article/bjork_sigur On the Sigur Rós mail I received this morning they said it will begin at 7pm GMT/8pm London time.

I'm riding down on a bus from Akureyri Saturday morning. We still have a few seats left if you want cheaper than public bus round trip fares and fun times with 15 lovely American students. :P I've heard the British guest rumor as well and have also heard Bono... but I feel that's just because it's a Bono-esque thing to do and not really based on anything.

also...robotpwnsyou, where did you even read about the appearance of ANY british guest? it seems pretty unlikely at this point. do you really think they'd have an international band come completely unannounced?
