*10.6.08: Dates for Coachella ‘09 revealed, Buraka Som Sistema confirmed by Goldenvoice blog
*1.27.09: Lineup was to be announced on Kevin and Bean’s morning show (KROQ) at 7:20AM PST. They revealed that the line-up announcement has been postponed.
*1.30.09A: Lineup posted at Coachella.com between 12-1AM.
*1.30.09B: Tickets go on sale at 9AM Tickets here
*2.10.09 Jenny Lewis moved from Sunday to Saturday
*2.24.09 The Murder City Devils were added to Sunday
*3.9.09 The Bomb Squad, Devendra Banhart, Flying Lotus, The Professionals, Kode9, 6BLOCC, Daddy Kev, The Chemical Brothers, The Orb, Daedulus, Etienne de Crécy, Nocando, Busy P, Plump DJs, Gaslamp Killer VS DLX, Ras G & Samiyam and MC Kemst added to the lineup. Note: I hardly walked inside the Sahara except for the Chemical Brothers (which I thought was complete garbage). I don't know whether it's me or the electronic lineup is weak (Girl Talk...really???) The Orb is my favorite electronic act of the weekend. Even though they played in the Gobi, I thought where they played at was great, which I guess separates the E-tards and Ed Bangers from true EDM fans.

Shows that made me shed a tear: MBV, Leonard Cohen, Calexico. Shows that made me squeal with joy: The Cure. Shows that made me incredibly happy in general: Throbbing Gristle, Henry Rollins, Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti, Paul McCartney. And there are a bunch that I am leaving out, which is kinda painful, but, dammit, I saw 55 acts! ;) What an effing fantastic year.
