I attended Iron Maiden's show last night (June5, 2008) in Calgary, and must say, these guys are aging well.
This was the eighth time I've seen them (the first being back in 1984 with Twisted Sister as their opening band), and perhaps the best show of all of them. Now, that's not to say that the previous shows weren't good -they were- but more to say that I believe they are getting better with age.
A long show filled with the soundtrack of my youth, the Iron Maiden boys lit up the Saddle Dome with an electricity that seems rare now. With a 30+ year back catalog of music to choose from, they served up their classics hot and loud. Singer Bruce Dickenson ran around belting out the lyrics like no one told him that he was getting old! I won't go into what songs were played, as it was all Maiden all night, and if you are an Iron Maiden fan, you can probably fill out the track list in your head, any way.
A great show...
