    THIS SHOW WAS AWESOME MY FIRST MAIDEN SHOW IVE BEEN WAITING A LOONG TIME FOR THIS ONE...MAIDEN WAS THE FIRST BAND I EVER GOT INTO I WAS 8 YEARS OLD ( NOW 30 ) FIRST TIME I EVER LISTENED TO THEM AND I LIKED IT I DIDNT EVEN KNOW THIS MUSIC WAS HEAVY METAL BUT I LIKED IT SO YEA CHICAGO SHOW KICKED ASS!!! I WAS SO CLOSE TO THE STAGE THAT I COULD SEE DAVE AND ADRIAN'S WRINKLES!!! HIGHLIGHT OF THE SHOW WAS RIME OF THE ANCIENT MARINER LOVE THAT SONG!!! SO YEA DRIVING UP THERE FROM DODGE CITY KS WAS SURE WORTH THE TRIP CANT WAIT TO SEE THEM AGAIN UP THE IRONS!!!!!

    So I guess drinking more beer in the concourse instead of watching Lauren Harris' performance was definitely the right choice, ha. But what a show by Maiden, those guys nailed everything on the setlist, and the atmosphere was incredible. Props to them for probably one of the best shows I'll ever see.

    The show in Chicago was the best Maiden show I’ve seen since I first saw the Piece of Mind tour back in ‘83. The thing, though, that impressed me the most was how the band played the songs at the same speed you’re used to hearing them on their albums. When the adrenalin is flowing during a live show, the songs just naturally seem to speed up, and in some cases, are almost unrecognizable. Not in Chicago. I think it’s a true reflection of the approach Maiden takes to their craft that they played the songs as we’ve all come to know and expect. And someone made a reference earlier about the time Bruce sat down on a monitor and just the let the band revel in the adoration they got (very much deserved!), and said “Welcome back Chicago”! All in all, it was a tour de force, and I can’t wait for their next tour stop! I brought my son from Kansas City to see the show, and he’s already planning (and plotting) on how to get closer to the stage. Well done, Chicago.
