As we're nearing the beginning of Graspop, the excitement is starting to grow.
All year I've been looking forward to going there and since I've seen which bands are coming I'm sure I won't be disappointed.
Of course Aerosmith, Iron Maiden and Ozzy Osbourne are bands that I just must see. But since Aerosmith and Ozzy don't hold any real interest for me beyond the live show and I've already seen Iron Maiden before, the real treats will be the bands I like that I haven't seen before.
Bands like Blind Guardian, Pain of Salvation, Grave Digger, Volbeat, Heaven and Hell, Slayer, Black Label Society and Finntroll.
Of course there are some bands that I would like to see, though not as much either because I don't really know them or I don't really know what I think of their music yet or I used to like them and just would like to see them for old time's sake like Type O Negative, Therion, Dimmu Borgir, Cannibal Corpse, Tiamat, Atheist, Mastodon, Korpiklaani and Turisas.
And ofcourse some that I've already seen before but if there's nothing else to do would go see again like Sabaton, Epica and Children of Bodom.
Ofcourse there's one other band that I'd just like to see so that I can say I've seen them, Korn. They hold no real interest to me, but I used to like them a little before I knew what real metal was and my girlfriend says that they give a good show.
Bands like Within Temptation and Papa Roach I really don't want to see, both because I've seen them too many times already and they're just not that good.
And HammerFall I'll have to go and see because my girlfriend will want to see them.
Otherwise we'll just see what we're gonna do. Probably hang around a bit, my gf will want to visit the clothing and other things stands a lot and look around for some CDs and stuff.
It's too bad that friends we invited can't come this year, hopefully they will next year.
