Arctic Circle is proud to present Space in this Place – an immersive evening of space-themed sounds which will permeate the twisting red steel structure of the incredible ArcelorMittal Orbit. At 76m and 80m high, the two observation decks will be transformed into an incredible outpost of new music with influences ranging on the evening from Tarkovsky’s Solaris to Saturn’s own Sun Ra. It’s a perfect setting for Ninja Tune’s DJ Food who was last seen performing his album The Search Engine at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich. More live music will come courtesy of synth-folk drone-ballad band Transept and a special acoustic set from Astronauts the new project from Dan Carney, formerly of critically-acclaimed East London alt -folkers Dark Captain. And let’s not forget Manchester’s one man cosmic construct Paddy Steer who welcomes you to the event at ground control. So come with us for this ‘spacial’ evening of music as the sun sets across the London horizon.
Tickets are priced at £20 - book online at https://tickets.arcelormittalorbit.biz/WebStore/shop/ViewItems.aspx?CG=AMOLATES&C=AMOLATES or call 0333 800 8099
